Tel Aviv University, Israel brings a summer program in Cyber Security for students who wish to study the world of cyber warfare, security threats, the Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing in addition to other cyber security systems. This program offers partial scholarships for brilliant students who are majoring in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

    Eligibility

    An applicant must:

    • have scored at least 80% in their previous academic exams or 3.0 on a scale of 4.0
    • enrolled in an under graduation course
    • pursuing major in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or must have studied these courses in past or studied Maths
    • have taken at least one programming language i.e Java or C
    • have 2 academic letter of recommendation
    • have scored at least 550 in written or 79 iBT in TOEFL or at least 6.5 in IELTS
    • have to submit a short essay in 150 words explaining why he/she wish to join the program.
    Benefits

    The Course program fee is USD 2860. For meritorious students, university is providing the course with partial scholarship, where students have to only pay total USD 940 that includes USD 60 as an application fee and USD 880 (67% is being waived off) for tuition, dormitory, and medical insurance.

     

    Additional Opportunities

    Students enrolled in the Cyber Security program also have the unique opportunity to participate in “Cyber Week” which is an annual leading international conference in cybersecurity held at Tel Aviv University. Cyber Week 2018 will occur the week prior to our program start date. The conference offers a unique gathering of cybersecurity experts, bringing together industry leaders, startups, investors, academics, diplomats, and other government officials. Delivering a thought-provoking exchange of knowledge, methods, and ideas, the events of the conference will include roundtables, panels, workshops, forums, BSides, competitions, and more. In the past, Cyber Week has hosted over 5,000 attendees from more than 50 countries. The conference is hosted by the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC), The Yuval Ne’eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security, Tel Aviv University, the Israeli National Cyber Directorate under the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

    Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -

    Step 4: A profile is generated, the applicant can "Update the profile, Apply to a program, and can Change password".
    Step 5: Click on "Apply to a program"
    Step 6: Select Summer Institute in Program Category
    Step 7: In "Program Type and Academic Year", select "Summer in Tel Aviv: Cyber Security Program - 2017/18"
    Step 8: Completely fill the form, click to agree to the terms and condition and submit.
