About The Program

SwarnaJayanti Fellowships Scheme 2017-18 invites applications from young scientists. The objective of the fellowship is to provide special assistance to young researchers so that they can research in frontier areas of science and technology. The duration of fellowship will not be exceeding 5 years. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • Applicant should be an Indian national.
  • Applicant must have a regular position in a recognised Indian research organisation.
  • Applicant should hold Ph.D. in Science, Engineering or Medicine.
  • Applicant must not be drawing any other Fellowship under GOI scheme.
  • Applicant must be between the age of 30-40 years as on December 31, 2017.

  • SwarnaJayanti Fellowships Scheme 2018 provides INR 25,000 per month.
