Summer Fellowship Programme Bangalore 2017 objective is to motivate applicants of M.Sc/Integrated M.Sc./Integrated BS-MS (in Physics/Astronomy)/B.E/B.Tech. for the Summer Programme from colleges and universities across the country for research. As part of this, IIA organises a summer fellowship programme every year, wherein applicants are exposed to research in Astronomy and Astrophysics. The programme consists of a series of lectures at the Kodaikanal Observatory from May 16 to May 30, 2017. Selected applicants will get accommodation, food and travel allowance and some applicants will be selected to carry out short-term projects at IIA or its field stations from May 31 to June 30, 2017.

Terms and Conditions
Applicants who are selected for this programme will be provided free boarding/lodging at Kodaikanal and will be reimbursed second class rail/bus fare for the shortest route between the residence/study and Kodaikanal. The applicants selected for short term projects (after the School) will be provided with accommodation at the nominal rate and food at a subsidised price. They will also be given a fellowship and a travel allowance as mentioned above.
