‘Sri Tara Chand Memorial Scholarships for Meritorious Students’ is started in the memory of Sri Tara Chand Prasad Burnwal by his family who want to give back to the society with a vision of educating next generation.
Applicability
The scheme will be applicable to secondary, senior secondary school students (Class 9 to 12).
Objectives:
The objective of the scheme is to encourage & help meritorious school students who belong to economically deprived section of the society.
The scheme shall come into force for the Academic Session 2016-2017.
Online Application starting date: 2nd May 2016
Last date of submission of application form: 15th July 2016
- Incomplete applications and applications received after the due date will not be considered.
Sri Tara Chand Memorial Meritorious Scholarship 2016
DeadlineClosed Eligibility - The student must be meritorious (good performance in the examination conducted in the academic session 2015-16 at school level)
- The student whose family income from all sources is less than Rs 1,80,000 p.a., shall be considered as belonging to economically deprived section. This will be on the basis of the “Income Certificate” issued to the parent of the beneficiary student.

Regulation of Scholarship:
Scholarship shall be granted to meritorious students studying in Class 9 to 12 based on their performance in the previous grade and meeting the means criteria. In other words, based on the performance in Class 9, scholarship shall be granted to the students for studying in Class 10.
Purposes for which Scholarship can be utilized:
Scholarship should be utilized for tuition fees or for educational materials such as note books, books, school uniforms and shoes, school bags, geometry box, colouring boxes etc.
Special Conditions:
The income ceiling shall be applicable to all students.
