About The Program

The South Indian Bank has announced the South Indian Bank (SIB) Scholarship Scheme 2017 for meritorious undergraduate students belonging to economically backward families of Kerala. This scholarship scheme caters to only those candidates who have secured 85% and above marks in their higher secondary school examination from any Govt. Higher Secondary School in Kerala.

To be eligible, the candidate must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Domicile of Kerala.
  • Class 12 pass from any Govt. Higher Secondary School in Kerala (Govt. aided schools or other recognized schools will NOT be considered) in the academic year 2015-2016 or 2016-2017.
  • Total marks should not be less than 85% in class 12 board exams.
  • The family annual income should not exceed INR 1,00,000.
  • The student enrolled in B.Tech, MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BVMS, B.Pharm, B.Sc (Nursing), B.Sc(Agri), LLB or other 3 and 4 years full-time undergraduate courses during the year 2017-18 in Govt./Aided colleges in the state of Kerala.
  • Students enrolled in self-financed colleges in Govt. quota during 2017 -18 and paying the same Govt. fees, are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.
How can you apply?

The application can be submitted online only by following these steps:

Step 1: Click here to fill the form.
Step 2: Fill in all the details.
Step 3: Ensure that the filled form is correct to best of your knowledge as no correction can be done after submission.
Step 4: Avoid making multiple registrations as this leads to disqualification.
Step 5: Candidate has to upload his/her photograph, Class 12 board marksheet, certificate in prescribed format signed by the head of the institution where currently studying, and family income certificate issued by Village Officer. Candidates belonging to BPL families should upload BPL certificate issued by the secretary of the local body.
Step 6: If any of the parents has expired, the death certificate has to be uploaded, if any of the parents is differently abled, the corresponding certificate has to be uploaded.

Note: Kindly retain a copy of the application for future reference. Physical copy of the Application need not be submitted.

Guidelines for Uploading Photograph and certificates:

Photograph:

  • Recent passport-sized colour photograph
  • Background preferably white
  • Casual photographs wearing caps/hats/dark glasses not acceptable
  • Resolution: 140 pixels (height) x 110 pixels (width)
  • Size of the scanned image - not more than 50kb

Certificates:

  • Uploaded certificates should be legible
  • Size of each scanned certificate - not more than 300kb
  • Scanned Image of certificate should be in pdf format only
