About The Program

Harry Ransom Center, The University of Texas at Austin offers Research Fellowships 2018 to postdoctoral or independent scholars for projects that require the on-site use of the Center's substantial collections. This program supports research in all areas of the humanities, including literature, photography, film, art, the performing arts, music and cultural history.  

 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

The eligibility requirements are as follows: 

  • Applicant of any nationality can apply.
  • PhD scholars are eligible to apply.
  • Scholars with substantial record of professional achievement, shown on their CVs, can also apply.
  • Dissertation fellowships are open to doctoral candidates engaged in dissertation research by the time of application.

Award Details:

ONE- TO THREE-MONTH FELLOWSHIPS

  • USD 4,000 Per Month 

TRAVEL STIPENDS

  • USD 2,500 

DISSERTATION FELLOWSHIPS

  • USD 2,500 

Announcement Of Decisions:

  • Decisions will be announced by email on March 31, 2018. 
  • Fellowship recipients will also receive materials related to their award by mail. 
  • Fellowship recipients and their research projects will be recognised in Ransom Center publicity.
