Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) launched Painting and Essay Writing Competitions for School Children for the year 2016, which should not be more than 700 words, to raise awareness among youth about conservation of Petroleum products in industrial, transportation, agriculture and domestic sectors, and how to practice them in their daily lives.
Essay Competition:
Students can write in English, Hindi or Regional languages to present their ideas and messages for conserving petroleum products and reducing emissions, but one student can write in one language only.
Time period is one hour.
The languages in which student can write are: Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Maithili, Dogri, Nepali, Bodo and Santhali. However, a minimum of 15 students must participate in each language in which the school submits its entry.

Painting Competition:
Use only A3 size art sheet. The work may be executed using pencils, pencil colours, crayons, water colours etc. Use of Collage/Patchwork is not permitted in the paintings at all levels of competition.
Time period is two hours.

Students can apply through their respective schools only.
School is required to evaluate the entries, and upload best two entries in each categories, in which the competition has been conducted at the school.
