Padala Educational Scholarships 2017 invites application from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state students who have passed class 10th examination. The objective of this program is to identify the best merit and poorest of the poor applicants and offer them financial help needed to pursue higher studies.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility Applicants who are enrolled in given classes are eligible to apply:
- Intermediate
- Diploma in Engineering
- Diploma in Education/Pharmacy
- Graduation Non-Professional Courses (B.A, B.Sc, B.Com)
- Graduation Professional Courses (B.E, B.Tech)
- B.Ed Course
- Medicine (MBBS)
Applicant must be from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana
All his/her education must be from a government school/ college
Applicant must be from a poor family with no other source to fund his/her education
Applicant must not be enrolled/ pursuing post graduate courses
Applicants in their third or final year of study will be given less priority than applicants in their first or second yearHow can you apply?

Documents required:
- Photocopies of Marks Lists from class 10 onwards.
- Photocopy of Rank Card/Score Card (in the case of entrance exams line CEEP, EAMCET, ECET etc).
- Two Passport size photo (color or black & white).
- Any other merit certificates showing the academic excellence of the applicant.
Do not send any documents along with the application form, applicants will bring them to interview if they are shortlisted.
Personal Interview by PCT panel:
- The interview panel consists of at least 3-panel members and 1 consolidator. The panel usually consists of PCT secretary, retired teachers/HMs/Principals, and other elders. The panel tries to get an idea of the applicant’s academic history, his/her desire for higher studies, the parents’ income sources and their ability to support the applicant’s educational costs.
- Based on the conversation, each panel member gives a grade for each applicant. So, each applicant will have at least three grades one from each panel member. The possible values of grade are:
- A-Accept: This applicant is genuine and eligible for PCT scholarship
- R-Reject: This applicant is not eligible for PCT scholarship
- N-Not Sure: The panel member is not sure if the applicant is genuine or not. More information needs to be gathered before moving the grade to either ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’.
