The Ohio State University invites applications for Kiplinger Fellowship 2018 from working journalists as well as freelancers who want to sharpen their digital skills. It is a renowned fellowship on digital media tools and tactics, and will be held between 16 Apri 2018 and 20 April 2018 at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University in Athens, Columbus.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the fellowship, an applicant must -
- Be a working journalist (Freelancers are also invited).
- Have a professional experience of at least 5 years.

Terms and Conditions
Important
Prior to applying for the fellowship, the applicant must prepare the following documents -
- A short bio of about 150 words.
- An explanation of about 200 words on how the Kiplinger Fellowship can benefit the candidate and his/her newsroom.
- Web links to three latest stories that essentially showcase candidate's talent. (Note: In case the stories are available in different languages, please supply the English translations of three stories.)
- Name, title, organization, phone number and email of your two references.
Award Details
The fellowship covers the following expenses of the selected candidates -
- Free training on digital media tools and tactics that cover the topics of social media such as branding and audience management, reporting, data visualization and spreadsheets, media ethics and smartphone videography.
- Accommodation for one week and most of the meals.
- Limited travel fare for candidates working outside of the United States.
