About The Program

Overseas Development Institute (ODI) has introduced ODI Fellowship Scheme 2018 which gives postgraduate economists and statisticians a chance to work as local civil servants in public sectors of developing countries on a two-year contract. The objective of the scheme is to provide high calibre junior economists and statisticians to the government of developing countries and to give them practical work experience in a developing nation.

  • Candidate must have master's degree or PhD in economics, econometrics, statistics or in a related field.
  • Candidate must be willing to commit to participating in any country for a two-year posting.
  • Candidate must have strong computer skills.
  • Candidate must have a keen interest in development.

Terms and Conditions

Award Details:
Candidates will get a salary of GBP 21,000 for the first year. Later on, in the second year, it will increase to GBP 23,000. Fellows will also receive a rental allowance to cover the cost of accommodation.
