About The Program

Obama Foundation invites applications for Obama Foundation Fellowship 2017 from organizers, artists, journalists, entrepreneurs, inventors and other rising stars. This fellowship aims to support outstanding civic innovators from around the world in order to amplify the impact of their work and to inspire a wave of civic innovation.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for the scholarship, a candidate must-

  • Belong to any part of the world. 
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English as all programming will be conducted in English. 
  • Be 18 years of age or older. (Note: Preference will be given to participants who are at a 'tipping point' stage in their careers, rather than those who fit a particular age requirement.) 

 

How can you apply?

Follow the mentioned steps to apply for the Fellowship -
Step 1: Visit the official web page of the Fellowship. 
Step 2: Click on 'Apply'.
Step 3: Click on 'Start the Application'.
Step 4: Fill in the application form. 
Step 5: Provide answers to the questions asked in the prescribed word limit. 
Step 6: Upload a video of about 60 seconds showing candidate's personality. (Note: The video should be less than 100 MB in size and should be in .mp4, .mov, .avi or .webm format. 
Step 7: Provide details of the references.
Step 8: Finally submit the application form.

Terms and Conditions

Fellowship details 

It is a two-year, non-residential fellowship offering hands-on training, resources and leadership development. The applicants selected for the fellowship will receive -

  • Guidance for developing a personalized fellowship roadmap. 
  • Ongoing custom-tailored training and skill-building courses. 
  • Individual mentoring and coaching for moving their work forward. 
  • Exposure to multiple opportunities for Foundation programming like speaking engagements and mentorship roles. 
  • Participation in all the four gatherings of the programme

Note: The Foundation also covers transportation and accommodation for the in-person convenings.
