About The Program

The North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, established on 15th August, 1990 under the Maharashtra Universities Act, XXIX of 1989, started its academic and administrative functioning from the academic year 1991-92. Within the span of 3 years, the University is recognized under section 2 (f) in 1991 and 12 (B) in 1994 under the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. The jurisdiction of the University is extended over three districts i.e. Jalgaon, Dhule and Nandurbar, a pre-dominantly tribal and rural area of Khandesh region. The University has opened it’s doors of higher education to mostly “first generation learners” of this area. Access, equity and academic excellence are the thrust areas of the University’s educational endeavor. Presently, Prof. S. U. Meshram is the Vice-Chancellor holding the position since September 08, 2011. Following Vice-Chancellors have successfully shouldered the responsibility of the University in the past.

The University is well equipped with excellent physical infrastructural facilities like – majestic administrative, examination and library buildings, separate buildings for each School/Institute, adequate classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, state-of-art research facilities, a senate hall, convocation auditorium, sports facilities with indoor stadium, health center, guest house, Shikshak Bhavan, VVIP guest house, Hostels, Staff quarters, Central School (Kendriya Vidyalaya), Library, Post Office, Bank, ATM, Shopping Complex which are sufficient enough to satisfy almost all kinds of needs of teaching/non-teaching staff, students, researchers and stakeholders. This physical infrastructure is the asset of the University which is created within a short span of 24 years.

Candidates appeared for XII or equivalent. The specific eligibility criteria for the admission to the first year of various undergraduate courses are as follows:
For F.Y.B.B.S, F.Y.B.B.A, F.Y.B.B.M (Mgt.) and F.Y.B.B.M (e-Commerce):
Candidate must have passed 10+2 H.S.C, Exam. Of Maharashtra State or its equivalent exam or Management (or)
(10+2) High Secondary School Examinations from Maharashtra State Board or its equivalent with D.Ed. or
Diploma in engineering and pharmacy from Maharashtra technical board or its equivalent or
Candidate who has passed the senior secondary school exam conducted by the national open school Delhi or Candidate must have passed 10+2 M.C.V.C Course from Maharashtra State Education Board
For F.Y.B.C.A
A candidate must have passed (10+2) standard high secondary school exam from Maharashtra State Board from Science or Commerce stream or its equivalent or Diploma recognized by three years or its equivalent
Candidate must have passed 10+2 M.C.V.C. course from Maharashtra State Education Board
For MCA (Five Years Integrated Course)
A candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject and obtained 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together
For MBA (Five Years Integrated Course)
A candidate should have passed (10 + 2) standard (or equivalent) examination and obtained 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category

The candidate interested in applying for Common Entrance Test (CET) for Admission to B.B.S., B.B.A., B.B.M.(Management), B.B.M.(e-Commerce), B.C.A., M.C.A. (Five Years Integrated Course), M.B.A. (Five Years Integrated Course) course(s) in Affiliated Colleges/University Department are advised to note the following and then click on the Apply- Online
Student will have to fill up online form as available on the university website www.nmu.ac.in
This online portal would render correct results only in browsers supporting JavaScript (recommended browsers: IE 7.0+, Firefox, Google Chrome) and it is enabled in settings

The applicant should draw a DD on any Nationalized Bank of amount Rs.300/- in favour of the Finance and Accounts Officer, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon; before proceeding for filling Online Application Form. It is mandatory to have DD before proceeding for online application form submission
Last date for filling Online Application Form is 04th July 2016 and last date for submitting the hard copy of the printed form along with DD and necessary documents to the nearest ARC center is 07th July 2016. If hard copy along with DD and other necessary documents is not received on or before the last date, your registration will be treated as cancelled.
