Newcastle University, UK invites applications for Newcastle University Academic Track (NUAcT) PhD Studentship 2020 from PhD applicants. This scholarship aims to promote research in the area of Geographies of the former Yugoslavia in one of the six republics that made up Yugoslavia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Selected students will receive 100% tuition fees (UK/EU/International) and annual living expenses of GBP 15,009.

- Have a 2:1 Honours degree or international equivalent
- Have a demonstrable interest in conflict-affected societies and social scientific inquiry

- 750-word research proposal
- 1-page personal statement

Selection will be based on the eligibility criteria.
Terms and Conditions
- A further qualification (MA/MRes) is advantageous with the eligibility criteria.
- Additional 6 months of research training would be provided through the Faculty Research Training Programme for applicants without research accredited MA qualification.
- The programme will be conducted under the supervision of Dr James Riding.
