NCEWP Essay Writing Competition Physics 2017 invites application from students and teachers of higher secondary or Jr. College, graduation or post graduation. The objective of this program is to promote comprehensive writing, by elaborating various aspects of the topic 'Lasers Today–A Century of Einstein's Stimulating Theory of Radiation'.     Eligibility

    Categories:

    • A: Students of higher secondary or Jr. College, graduation and post graduation classes
    • B: Teachers of higher secondary or Jr. College, graduation and post graduation institutions, also Science communicators working in recognized institutions

     

    How can you apply?

    Application process:
    For students:

    • They will not submit their entries directly to the Coordinator.
    • There will be a preliminary competition in each of the Regional Councils IAPT RC 1 to RC 22, on the same topic.
    • The top 3 entries from each RC will be finally sent up by the RC for the National Competition.

    For teachers:
    They can send their entries, duly forwarded, directly to the Coordinator.

    Note:

    • Submit the entry in PDF format by email to Prof. K. N. Joshipura Coordinator, NCEWP.
    • The entry will have to be forwarded through the Head or Principal of the institution, mentioning the category A or B, along with all contact details clearly.
    • Retired teachers can self-attest their entry. All entries will be scrutinized in all respects and will be assessed by 2 evaluators.

The topic of Essay for both the categories:
Lasers Today-A Century of Einstein's Stimulating Theory of Radiation.

Note:

  • Applicants are expected to build-up the theme properly and cover major aspects of the basic Physics and technological applications of Lasers.
  • The essay will be maximum of 8 pages including figures or tables etc, type-written in the times new roman 11-point fonts, with 1.15 spacing.
  • All entries will be subject to the online plagiarism test.
  • Handwritten and/or scanned submission will be rejected.
  • Only 1 entry per applicant and at most 2 entries per institution may be submitted in a category.
  • All the RCs are requested to motivate participation from students and teachers in this national contest.
  • The RCs will arrange a preliminary regional essay competition on the above topic, in the months of June-July, to select the top three participants for the final NCEWP 2017.

This scholarship is closed for further applications. It is expected to be launched by October, 2024. You can follow this scholarship for further updates.
