About The Program

National Science Concours (NSC) 2016-17 is a national level science competition which helps school students to take exam and also to compete with the overseas students.

This exam consists of three levels:
Level 1: Online test
Level 2: Conceptualise
Level 3: Create

Before taking the exams, applicant can also go for the mock test. Once select in level one, they have to make a project after doing research work. In the third level, best projects will be choosen and applicants can go for the summer camp.

Students of class 6 to 11 having interest in science subject are eligible to apply.

They will be divided into three group as:

Class 8-9

Phoenix

Class 10-11

FAQ's

Q: When will NSC 2016-17 start? 

A: Online test can be given from 15th September 2016 to 15th November 2016. Registration is already open.

Q: Is NSC 2016 really free? 

A: Yes, round one of the contest is absolutely free of cost.

Q: When will the Summer camp be held and where? 

A: The Science Summer Camp will be held in the end of May 2017 and there will be four location in India. The details will be communicated and published on the website.

Q: What date and time will the test happen 

A: You can login and choose to give the test at ANY time you like.

Q: Can I take the test from my home?

A: Yes you can take the test from anywhere. The only requisite is that you have a decent net connection.

Q: Any other pre-requisite for the test? 

A: No

Q: Who will do the online registration, students or school?

A: The students have the option to go to www.NSC2016.com and register themselves. but the ideal way that they are proposing to the schools is to share the list with them and they do a bulk registration from their side. This is a very simple process where they need just the name, class and section of the student. After they do the bulk registration, they will send that sheet back to you and you can distribute it to the students. This sheet would have the username and password for each student.

Q: How the teacher will be nominated for NSC? 

A: No teacher nomination is required for the test. The monitoring of the student happens online. They have teachers as NSC Champs who are people who nominate all the students from class VI to XII and are interested in promoting the NSC around them. They get a certificate for their efforts.

Q: What is the maximum file size for the project for Level II?

A: 250 MB

Q: How will I know if my project files have been uploaded? 

A: You will be able to see on the screen the files that have been uploaded. You can also choose to remove them and upload new files.
