JKBOSE is going to conduct State Level National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSS) 2016-17 for class 8th students on 6th November, 2016 (Sunday). 

First Session 

Mental Aptitude Test (MAT) and Language comprehensive test with 45 question items in each, total 90 Questions of multiple choice testing verbal and non-verbal meta cognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking, The questions in the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figures. of one mark each (90 marks). 
Duration of Examination: 90 minutes 

Second session

Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) with 90 question items of multiple choice covering subjects namely Science, Social Studies and mathematics as taught in classes 7 and 8. (90 Marks) 
Duration of Examination: 90 minutes
State Quota allotted: 1091 students
Reservation: As per State norms.
Scholarship: Rs.6000 per annum from class 9th to 12th subject to continuation of study in Govt. School.

    Eligibility
    • The students of class 8th studying only in Govt. or Govt. aided or Local body schools affiliated with JKBOSE,
    • Secured minimum of 55% marks (General category), 50% marks (SC/ST/ Physically Disabled) in class 7th and due for appearing in the ensuing annual Examination class 8th (2016- October) Kashmir Division / Winter Zone areas of Jammu Division and (2017-March) in summer zone areas of Jammu Division.
    • Only the students whose annual parental income does not exceed Rs 1,50,000 from all sources are eligible to appear in the said Examination.
    How can you apply?

    Application Forms along with the scheme of Examination can be down loaded from website or can be obtained from JK Board's District Sub offices/ branch offices and CDR Wings Rehari Colony Jarrunu/Bemina Bye Pass Srinagar. Xerox Copy of admission form/ admit form is also acceptable. 

    The application forms duly attested by the Head of the institution and accompanied by the requisite certificates (Qualification certificate, income certificate and reserved category certificate issued by competent authority, if any) and Bank Draft favoring Liaison Officer NTSE/NMMSS, A/C No. CD-2 of Rs SO/= Payable at RCC Srinagar, would be accepted by or before 15th September, 2016 at JKBOSE's concerned CDR Wings Jammu/Srinagar or Sub /Branch offices.
