A: No, you can apply for only one project at a time. If you are a previous grantee, you must close all previous grants before applying for a new project.
Q: Can I resubmit an application for a project that has been previously declined?
A: No, please do not reapply for the same project if it has already been declined. The only exception is if you have been instructed by a National Geographic Society program officer to reapply.
Q: Can I apply for funding to support lab work?
A: National Geographic funds usually support fieldwork with a minority of the requested budget for lab work. However, exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis, and applicants should contact the program officers (cre@ngs.org) before applying.
Q: Can I submit my project in a language other than English?
A: No, all applications and attachments must be in English.
Q: I am a student. Should I apply in my advisor's name?
A: No, the individual who will be responsible for carrying out the project should apply in his/her own name.
