Description

National Award for Child Welfare 2017 invites application for the deserving institutions and individuals for their outstanding performance in the field of child development and welfare to encourage the voluntary sector. This award is started by Government of India, in 1979 with a view to giving recognition to such voluntary action and the winner will get an award up to cash prize Rs 300000 and a citation.

Eligibility

For Institutions:
The institution should be those that are not entirely Government funded. They could be Government aided or otherwise. Institutions should have been in the field of child welfare for some years and should have a good performance in the field.

For Individuals:
The individuals should have worked for the cause of children for some years. Paid officers of the institutions will not be eligible for selection.

How to apply?

For inviting applications from eligible individuals/ institutions, press notes are given in newspapers apart from district level publicity by the respective Deputy Commissioners. The application forms are available with the Programme Officers (District Level ICDS cell)/ Deputy Commissioners free of cost.

Date of Awards:
The awards will be announced on universal Children Day–14 November every year.

Awards:

  • The Award for every individual shall consist of a cash prize of  Rs 100000 and a citation.
  • The award to each institution shall consist a cash prize of Rs 300000 and a citation.
