Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS) and the University of Gottingen jointly invite applications from students of M.Sc. in Physics, Earth Sciences or other related fields for MPS PhD Positions in Solar System Science 2017. This program offers a research-oriented doctoral progam covering the physical aspects of Solar system science.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -
- Have or be about to obtain an M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Earth Sciences, Physics or other related fields.
- Have written a masters thesis.
- Hold a good command over the English language.
- Have keen interest in Solar system science.
- Have excellent academic credentials.

Award Details
The selected applicants will receive doctoral support contract for three years and funding for postdoc wrap-up. Besides this, the applicants will receive an inspiring curriculum of scientific seminars, lectures and training workshops. Travel funds and relocations costs are also included in the program for attending an international conference.
Documents Required
- A Curriculum Vitae in pdf format.
- Complete transcripts and degree certificates of all academic qualifications including scanned copies of B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree or equivalent, list of courses with grades and score credit. (In English or German translations, if applicable).
- Contact details of at least two referees with their consent to write a letter of recommendation for the applicant.
- Certificate of English language qualification such as TOEFL/IELTS scores.
- Certificate of GRE Physics test scores or equivalent (For students obtaining Master's degree from outside Europe university).
