Ministry of Labour and Employment Pre and Post matric Scholarship 2017-18

• In order to apply for this scholarship scheme, a candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria –

• Candidate must be a ward of Beedi Workers, Iron ore, Manganese Ore & Chrome Ore Mine (IOMC) workers, Limestone & Dolomite Mine (LSDM) workers and Cine workers.
• Total monthly Income of the Worker’s family from all sources should not exceed as under: -

 

Note: The Scholars pursuing studies through Correspondence are not eligible. Students who receive scholarship or stipend from any other source will not be granted under this Scheme. More than one children of the same worker also should furnish separate bank account number.

a) Beedi Workers - INR. 10,000/-

b) Mine Workers – INR 10,000/-

c) Cine workers – “An amount not exceeding INR. 8,000/- per month where such amount is paid monthly or an amount not exceeding INR. 1,00,000/- where it is paid by way of lump sum or instalments; as remuneration of a cine worker for the purpose of this Act.”

The Applicant must have passed the last qualifying examination in first attempt. Candidates for the award of scholarships should have taken regular admission for studies at recognized institutions in India in any course of general or technical education. The Educational Institute must be Government/Government Recognized Institute. The Scholar should have separate bank account. In case of Joint Account, the first name should be of the Scholar.

Steps to follow for online application –

Step 1- The students need to register through National Scholarship Portal.

Step 2- Existing users can login with their credentials; new users need to register themselves.

Step 3- Enter the Registration Details and fill the application form with academic details, personal details and save the form

Step 4- Upload the essential documents and submit the form
