Description

As a mark of honour and glowing tribute to its Alma mater and legendry founder, Bharat Ratna Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, BHU Alumni Association, Ranchi, takes a first decisive step to proudly announce the launching of Merit-cum-means scholarship called “MAHAMANA MALVIYA SCHOLARSHIP”. The scholarship aims to help poor and meritorious students to pursue higher education by mitigating their sufferings and economic hardship.

Eligibility

The scholarship shall be granted to the students of class XI & XII only. The selection for scholarship shall be based on the results of class X, 4 students (two boys & two girls) of class XI shall be selected for scholarship. From academic year 2014-15, 2 students each from class XI & XII shall be selected for the scholarship. Each student shall be given a maximum amount of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) in an academic year along with a citation. The amount shall be given through Account payee cheque in the name of selected student.

The scholarship will be limited to students of CBSE schools of Ranchi Municipal area only.

Not more than 4 applications shortlisted by each school fulfilling the criteria should be sent to the BHU Alumni Association.

More Information

Enclosure required along with filled-up application form

  1. Duly attested copy of the marks sheet
  2. Duly attested copy of the income certificate
  3. Attendance certificate signed by principal of the school
  4. Character certificate signed by principal of the school
  5. Declaration letter regarding non-receipt of scholarship from any other source from the student and countersigned by Principal of school
  6. Two recent colour passport size photographs – one pasted on the application form and another separately attached. Name of the student & school should be clearly written on the back of the photograph being separately attached.
