About The Program

Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship 2017-18 invites applications from young artists involved in the Indian Classical Music and Dance and wish to contribute towards enriching the art form. The objective of this fellowship is to encourage promising young artists to develop their potential and perfect their skills by providing them with the resources and time to dedicate to the art.

  • Open to young artists from any genre of Indian Classical Music (Vocal or Instrumental) or Dance (any form or choreography).
  • Applicants should have at least some years of formal training in Indian classical Music or Dance.
  • The fellow should have at least 2-3 solo performances to his/her credit.
How can you apply?

The application can be completed with the following steps:
Step 1: 
Applicants have to send a 2 page CV. The full postal and telephonic contact details together with email id should be submitted to facilitate contact.
Step 2: Make a project which should be written in 500 words explaining the project.
Step 3: The names and contact addresses/telephones of 2 referees should also be sent.
Step 4: Now email it or send it to the given address. The application should bear the title ‘Sanskriti – Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship’ on the envelope/subject-line if send by post or email:

Terms and Conditions

Terms:

  • The duration of the fellowship will be of 10 months. The grant of INR 100000 will be given in 2 installments. The first installment of INR 50000 will be given at the commencement of the fellowship programme and a short mid-term progress report will be required.
  • The second installment will be given after the submission of complete project report when the fellow may be requested to give a recital. 

Agreement:
The applicant will have to sign an agreement with Sanskriti Pratishthan pertaining to a regular flow of work during the fellowship period. The applicant should not be holding another Fellowship or working on any other project at the same time.
