Lok Sabha Internship Programme 2017-18

Lok Sabha Internship Programme 2017 invites application for the applicants of graduation to PhD with the objective of providing an opportunity to young applicants with outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievements to acquaint themselves with the working of parliamentary democracy and democratic institutions in general and specifically about our parliamentary system. This will help the interns to gain a sound understanding of the pre-eminent position of Parliament in democratic set-up as a multi-functional institution with a variety of functions to perform, like law making, securing financial accountability, ensuring Executive accountability, constituent functions, representational role, educational role, national integrational role and also as a grievance redressal mechanism. The duration of this program is up to 3 months and selected interns will get up to Rs 30000 as a stipend, stationary and typing expenses.
