About The Program

Logo Design Contest Cyber Dost 2018 is an initiative by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The campaign aims to encounter cybercrime against women and children all over India and the logo design contest aims to bring out the best creative minds who can transform people's ideology with their vision and creativity. Raising the level of awareness against cybercrime is its prime objective. Entries are invited for the logo/visual display of Cyber Dost.

The competition is open to every Indian with a creative mind. No bars or restrictions regarding the applying criteria. 

Benefits

The winning design will get a cash prize of INR 1,00,000 by the government. 

Documents

Only your personal details like Photo i.d proofs, address proofs will be required for the submission of your logo. No specific degree or diploma is asked by the authorities.  

How can you apply?
The interested applicants can submit their entries online through following steps -
Step 1Click here to register as a new user. 
Step 2: Once the account is created, log in again to submit the entries. 
Step 3: Upload the designed logo as specified and a small description of the logo explaining its concept. 
Step 4: Finally submit the entry. 
Important Dates

11th May 2018 is the only date which you have to consider. Remember that your entries should be posted before 1700 hrs on this date. To avoid any inconvenience, please try to submit your design a day before. 

Selection Criteria

A screening committee set by MHA will initially evaluate the logo designs under their screening process. The best design will be selected on the basis of various criteria including -

  • Originality,
  • Composition,
  • Technical excellence,
  • Artistic merit, 
  • Visual impact, and 
  • How well the applicant's design depicts the theme of the contest, i.e prevention of cyber crimes.

  • The winning design/logo will be considered as an intellectual property of MHA. The applicant cannot claim anything after he/she gets his/her prize money.
  • The logo design must be fresh and innovative and should not violate any provision of Indian Copyright Act 1957. Also, it must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content or image.
  • Multiple submissions by the same participant will be considered invalid.
  •  The employees of Ministry of Home Affairs, as well as their family members, are not allowed to participate in this competition to provide complete transparency. 
  • MHA reserves the rights to cancel or amend a part or the complete competition at any time without any liability towards any party. However, any such decision or activity will be prior informed on the MyGov portal.
  • The logo uploaded by the applicant should be in JPEG/PNG/JPG/SVG format only. 
  • The logo must be designed on a digital platform and an open and editable file of the logo should be submitted. 
  • The logo must not contain any watermark or imprint. 
  • The logo should be of high resolution with minimum 300 DPI and size should vary from 5 cm* 5 cm to 60 cm * 60 cm.

FAQ's

Q: What should be the standard size of the image or the logo to be submitted?

A: The logo to be uploaded should be in JPEG/JPG/PNG/SVJ format only. THe standard size should be between 5X5 cm to 60X60 cm i either potrait or landscape. It should be in high resolution with atleast 300 DPI.
