About The Program

The L&T Hydrocarbon- Offshore Technology, IIT Scholarship 2017 invites applications for the Ph.D. at Indian Institute of Technology Madras. The scheme will open up exciting careers with Hydrocarbon & Shipbuilding Industry to learn to execute complex projects with new technologies, including the challenging deep-water area worldwide. The main objective is to build a technology to meet the growing requirement in the area of Hydrocarbon & Shipbuilding Industry. The M.Tech Programme will be of two years duration spread over four semesters. Selected candidate will receive tuition fees and the stipend of Rs 12,400 per month for the entire duration of the course.

  • Candidates should have obtained 1st class i.e 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (not less than 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST candidates) in B.Tech or B.E. (Civil / Mechanical Engineering).
  • Valid GATE score (2016 or 2017) and marks obtained in the interview. 70% weightage is given to GATE score and 30% weightage is given to interview marks.
