About The Program

The K. C. Mahindra Education Trust was founded by the late Mr. K. C. Mahindra in the year 1953, with an objective of promoting literacy and higher learning in the country. It is registered as a public Charitable Trust under the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950.

Over the years, K.C. Mahindra Education Trust has undertaken a number of education initiatives, which make a difference in the lives of deserving and needy students. The trust has provided more than Rs. 440.34 million (8.81 million $) in the form of grants, scholarships and loans. These funds are derived from the trusts investment portfolio, the main donor of which is the Mahindra group of companies.

To be eligible to apply for the K. C. Mahindra Education Trust Scholarships the Applicant is required to satisfy the following conditions :-

 

  1. He/She is required to possess a First Class degree or an equivalent diploma of similar standard of a recognized Indian University.
  2. Applicant must have secured admission or atleast have applied for admission in reputable foreign Universities or Institution.

In addition to the above conditions the Applicant’s character, aptitude and ambition will be the major factors in guiding the Trustees to arrive at a decision regarding the final selection.

The Applicant is required to state definitely all sources of financial help by the way of University Scholarships, College Fellowships or other financial support from relations and friends or from other Trusts.

How can you apply?

Application can be done by Post only.

1) The form needs to be printed on legal / full scape size paper.
2) The last date to submit the form is 31.03.2016
3) The completed form needs to be sent to the following address:

Terms and Conditions

Every year, they offer 50 scholarships, as given below:

  1. A maximum of Rs.8 lakh per scholar, awarded to the top 3 K.C. Mahindra fellows
  2. A maximum of Rs.2 lakh per scholar, awarded to remaining successful applicants 

The following documents must be enclosed with this Application: (Please DO NOT send any originals)

  1. A copy of Admission letter (attested copy).
  2. A signed testimonial (letter of recommendation) from any one of the three referees mentioned above. This letter should be on the letterhead of the institute or company.
  3. A short statement as to the general aptitude and interest, the type of vocation the candidate would like to pursue and his/her ambitions and aspirations in life.
  4. A copy of GRE/GMAT Score.
  5. Evidence of course and degree certificates along with Mark-sheets (attested copies).
  6. A copy of SSC & HSC mark sheet & School Leaving Certificate (attested copies).
  7. Evidence of age (attested copy).
  8. Copy of your latest C.V.
