The Institute of Education (IOE) at the University College London (UCL) in partnership with International Students House (ISH) provides an opportunity to students interested in pursuing a Master's degree or MPhil or PhD at UCL to benefit from IEO Centenary Scholarships. The scholarship covers the tuition fee as well as accommodation for the selected students. The scholarship programme aims to support the higher education of meritorious students from low- or middle-income countries.
IOE Centenary Masters and Doctoral Scholarships 2019
DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must:
- Be a citizen and resident of a low- or middle-income country (having a Gross National Income [GNI] of less than USD 8000 per capita)
- Have an offer to study a full-time Master's degree at UCL (for IEO Centenary Master's Scholarship)
- Have an offer to study a full-time MPhil/PhD degree at UCL (for IEO Centenary Doctoral Scholarship)
- Not have lived or studied in the UK before
Note: It must be noted that the scholarships are not for online courses (Master's/MPhil/PhD).
Benefits IEO Centenary Master's Scholarship
- Accommodation for 1 year provided by ISH
- Tuition fee provided by IOE
Note: The scholarship does not cover subsistence in London, travel or any other expenses. It is tenable for one academic year, subject to satisfactory progress.
IEO Centenary Doctoral Scholarship
- Accommodation provided by ISH
- Tuition fee provided by IOE
Note: This scholarship does not cover subsistence in London, travel or any other expenses. The scholarship is tenable for three academic years, subject to satisfactory progress.
How can you apply? There is no separate procedure for applying for this scholarship. Candidates holding the offer letter for Master's/MPhil/PhD degree will receive an email with details of how to apply for this scholarship. In case the students haven't received the mail, they can contact IOEinternational@ucl.ac.uk with details of full name and student ID number.
