It is the hunt for India's most innovative minds across campuses.
This year, Innovation Jockeys is all about ideas that can drive a positive change in our society, that will empower the women of the nation with health, safety and opportunities. Ideas that can help create a digital India and use the medium to deliver efficient governance and can eliminate corruption and promote transparency.
Innovations to prevent corruption/malpractices Your challenge is to build platforms, web applications and mobile solutions that can innovatively be used to detect fraud, prevent corruption and thwart malpractices.
Innovations to create a digital India Build platforms or applications that can help build a digital nation. This includes innovations around the pillars of Digital India like - eGovernance, eKranti, Electronics Manufacturing and IT; And innovations that enable Digital Citizenship - access, commerce, law, wellness and community.
Innovations for the empowerment of women Women across the nation face multiple challenges when it comes to safety, health and sanitation, education and employment. Address these issues with the power of web and mobile.

Can working professionals apply for the contest?
No, the contest is open only to all full-time undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students and who are 18 (eighteen) years of age or older, who otherwise meet all eligibility requirements of the contest.
How do I apply for the contest?
Entries will be accepted through an online entry form as available on the contest website http://innovationjockeys.net/. During the entry period the participants need to complete the online entry form and submit it along with the original idea related to the given innovation categories of:
1. Innovations to prevent corruption/malpractices,
2. Innovations to create a Digital India and
3. Innovations for empowerment of women.
Participants are encouraged to upload supporting documents and videos that help explain the idea further.
What are the eligibility criteria?
All full-time undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students in India, who are 18 (eighteen) years of age or older are eligible to participate. The participants can be either (a) an individual; or (b) a teams of up to 4 (four) participants from the same college or different colleges (a "Team") provided that each member of the Team meets these eligibility criteria.
What are the dates of the contest?
"Innovation Jockeys 5" is open for entries from 14th June 2016 to 17th August 2016 (both days inclusive).
What are the prizes?
Each Category Winner (if the Category Winner is a Team, then all the participants of the Team) will win an Apple Watch 38 MM and certificates.
The Grand Winner (if the Grand Winner is a Team, then all the participants of the Team) will have a choice to select one among 3 trips - Accenture IoT Center of Excellence in Singapore, Accenture Technology labs (focusing on Artificial Intelligence) in Dublin, Ireland, and Accenture Technology labs in Silicon Valley, California (focusing on three primary areas: Data Insights, Digital Experiences and Infrastructure & Systems).The grand prize winner will also win an Apple MD 101 Mac book and certificates.
The Jury's Choice Winner (if the Jury's Choice Winner is a Team, then all the participants of the Team) will win a Sound Link BT Speaker and certificates.
The Women Category Winner (if the Women's Category Winner is a Team, then all the participants of the Team) will win an Amazon Kindle and certificates.
All eligible participants of the grand finale will be given a chance to participate in a fast-track recruitment process with Accenture.
What is the selection procedure?
Upon receiving the entries, an initial jury of the Organiser will collate the list of entries and evaluate the same based on pre-defined evaluation criteria as specified on the Contest Website to determine nominees in each Category. A long-list of nominees will be submitted further for the jury evaluation to arrive at the final shortlist. This group needs to present their ideas to the panel of jury members face-to-face in Bangalore on 20th October,2016, to stand a chance of being selected as a winner.
Are multiple entries allowed?
Yes, multiple entries are allowed.
Do I need to have a working prototype of my idea?
No, an idea relevant to the chosen themes for this season is sufficient. If you do have a working prototype, then share relevant information when submitting your entry.
Can students from different colleges be part of the same team?
Yes, students from multiple colleges can be grouped into a single team
Will Accenture or Yahoo use my idea anywhere? Or will they implement it in real life?
The intellectual property of the idea remains with the participant. But please note that either Organiser may already possess or have developed products or services similar to or competitive with those ideas submitted through the entries.
If the shortlisted ideas meet certain criteria that Accenture has in mind, there are opportunities for funding to be provided, or support provided to develop the idea further.
