The Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation invites applications for the Inlaks Fellowships for Indian Classical Music 2017. The Indian classical music includes Hindustani Raag Sangeet and Carnatic Music.The objective of this fellowship is to provide financial assistance to young vocal musicians in their formative years for developing their creative talent.
Inlaks Fellowships for Indian Classical Music 2017
DeadlineClosed Eligibility In order to be eligible for this fellowship, an applicant must-
- Be an Indian citizen, currently resident in India, practicing vocal music in the Indian classical tradition.
- Not be holding a similar/government scholarship or award during the tenure of the fellowship.
- Be below the age of 30 years on 31st December in the year of application.

Required Attachments-
1. CV/Resume in PDF format.
2. AUDIO/VIDEO which is to be sent as links on any of the following online platforms such as artist website/ vimeo/ youtube/ soundcloud. (If links are password protected, please provide the password.)
3. Letter of acceptance from candidate's guru/guide/institution/collaborators with whom he/she intends to work.
4. Evidence of date of birth (Pan Card Copy/Aadhar Card Copy/Driving License).
Award details-
- The amount of award is INR 1,20,000 for a period of one year.
- The number of fellowships offered may be 2 or 3, depending on the merit of the applications received.
- Apart from award money, the fellows will either-
A) Pursue additional training with a musician (vocalist) or instrumentalist, other than one’s regular guru or with artists from other areas of performance.
B) Undertake performance-related research (including language and poetry) that enriches their own learning or practice.
C) A combination of the above.
