The University of Glasgow, Charles University in Prague, Dublin City University and OTH Regensburg jointly invite application for IMSISS Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Competition 2018 from graduate students who are willing to pursue a master degree program.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -

    • Have an honours degree with 2.1 score or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject like politics, history, international relations, cultural and area studies, sociology, law, criminology, computer science, journalism and media studies, psychology etc. 
    • Have a relevant working experience in the field of security, policing, intelligence and risk analysis. 
    • Be well proficient in the English language as per the standards set by the University. 

     

    How can you apply?

    Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship with following steps -
    Step 1: Click here to register for the IMSISS program. 
    Step 2: Login to complete the admission application process using registered email id and password. 
    Step 3: Click here to download the scholarship application form. 
    Step 4: Fill in all required details. 
    Step 5: Attach the scholarship application form with the admission form along with other supporting documents. 
    Step 6: Finally submit the application form.

Award details

The scholarship includes -

  • Contribution to the participation cost of the student including tuition fee, insurance coverage, etc. 
  • Contribution to installation and travel costs of the student. 
  • Monthly subsistence allowance for entire study programme. 

Contribution to the participation costs

up to 4,500 Euro per year per scholarship holder from a Programme Country

up to 9,000 Euro per year per scholarship holder from a Partner Country

Contribution to the travel and installation costs

1,000 Euro per year per scholarship holder resident of a Programme country

2,000 Euro per year for travel costs + 1,000 Euro for installation costs for a scholarship holder resident in a Partner country whose location is situated at less than 4,000 km from the EMJMD coordinating HEI

3,000 Euro per year for travel costs + 1,000 Euro for installation costs for a scholarship resident in a Partner country whose location is situated at 4.000km or more from the EMJMD coordinating HEI.

Contribution to subsistence costs

1,000 Euro per month for the entire duration of the EMJMD study programme (24 months maximum).

Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to scholarship holders for the periods of the EMJMD (study/research /placement/thesis preparation) spent in their country of residence

Contribution to subsistence costs will not be given to Partner Country scholarship holders for periods exceeding 3 months spent in any Partner Country.

Selection criteria

The selection of the students for the scholarship is based on the following factors -

  • Academic merit
  • Supporting personal statement
  • Quality of academic references
  • Relevance of academic qualification as per the program 
  • Other relevant research/interests/professional experiences.
