What is Higher Secondary Scholarship (Minority), Gujarat 2018?

Higher Secondary Scholarship (Minority), Gujarat 2018 is inviting application from students of class 11 and 12 belonging to minority community. The key objective of the scholarship is to ensure economic welfare and empowerment of students belonging to backward classes of the society. 

Who is offering this scholarship ?

The scholarship is being provided by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Gujarat.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?

  • An applicant must belong to the minority community.
  • Total family income of candidate should not be more than INR 1.50 Lac annually.

How can you apply ?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps -

Step 2: Click on "Apply Online" button. 
Step 3: Click on "Click for New Registration" button. 
Step 4: Fill in all required details and register. 
Step 5: Once registered, log in using registered email id and password. 
Step 6: Fill in the scholarship application form and upload required documents. 
Step 7: Finally submit the application form. 

What are the benefits ?

  • The students of class 11 will receive INR 475 per annum (for day scholars) and INR 725 per annum (for hostelers).
  • The students of class 12 will receive INR 840 per annum (for day scholars) and INR 1140 per annum (for hostelers).

What are the documents required for the Higher Secondary Scholarship (Minority), Gujarat 2018 ?

  • Self-attested caste certificate issued by the competent authorities
  • Self-attested copy of the Aadhaar Card
  • The first page of bank passbook/cancelled cheque
  • Fee receipt of current academic course
  • Self-attested certificate of previous academic mark sheet
  • Hostel certificate (only for hosteller student)
  • Passport size photograph
  • Income certificate issued by a competent authority (Form no.16 required for Govt. Employee)
