International Bipolar Foundation (IBPF) announces High School Essay Contest 2017 for the age group of 13-19 years. The topic of this contest is Notable Figures with Bipolar Disorder. IBPF intends young people to learn about bipolar disorder through this contest so that they understand the impact this disease has on those suffering from it and respond to them with care and sensitivity.

    To be eligible for this essay contest, an applicant must belong to the age group of 13-19 years.

     

    How can you apply?

    The submission can be done online. Follow the steps given below-

    Step 1- Click here for the submission form.
    Step 2- Read all the details given.
    Step 3- Fill in all the details and upload the essay.
    Step 4- Finally, click on 'Submit'.

Terms and Conditions

Rules for the contest-

  • Entries must be the original work of the contestants.
  • Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges.
  • Essays will become the property of International Bipolar Foundation and will not be returned.
  • Contestant must agree to allow International Bipolar Foundation to publicise essay.

Topic: Notable Figures with Bipolar Disorder

  • Students need to do research on a notable figure, past or present, who suffered from Bipolar Disorder.
  • Then in 500-1000 words, they have to explain how the illness affected their life, and what lessons can be taken away from their experience.
  • Students also have to include their own insight on the lessons to be learnt by the life of their choosen figures.  

Instructions- 

  • The essay must be written in English.
  • The font style and size must be Times New Roman and 12, respectively.
  • The essay must be of 500-1000 words and double-spaced and in Word Document (if possible).

Award details-

  • The award amount for winner will be USD 1,000.
  • The award amount for first runner-up will be USD 500.
  • The award amount for second runner-up will be USD 250. 

This scholarship is closed for further applications. It is expected to be launched by August, 2024. You can follow this scholarship for further updates.
