Harish-Chandra Research Institute Visiting Students Program in Physics 2018 is an initiative for students of BSc final year, B.tech and MSc. The program aims at providing a platform to eligible students where they can work in some areas of Physics under the guidance of a faculty member or a postdoctoral fellow.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility Applicants who have completed their BTech/MSc or are pursuing BSc final year studies can apply for this program.
Benefits The applicants will get the following benefits:
- To and fro railway fare (Sleeper II class)
- Accommodation on the campus.
- A stipend for local expenses.

Important dates for applying for Visiting Students Program are as under:
For the period of the visit during January to April:
Applications open- 01st July
Application deadline- 31st October
For the period of the visit during May to August:
Applications open- 01st November
Application deadline- 28/29 February
For the period of the visit during September to October:
Applications open- 01st March
Application deadline- 30th June.
Selection Criteria
The applicants will be selected on the following grounds:
- The academic record of the student.
- Letters of recommendation.
- Availability of faculty member as guide/mentor.
