About The Program

Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award 2017 invites application from all over the world students whose age should be between 11 to 17 years. The objective of this program is to enhance their writing career by providing an opportunity to write a poem on any theme which must be in English. The winner will receive an invitation to an award ceremony in October 2017.

How can you apply?

The application can be done online or by post with the following steps:
Online:
Step 1:

Step 4: Write the title of the poem and poem.
Step 5: Submit.

By post:

Note:

  • Individuals: Applicants can send the competition through post or online
  • Schools: If school want to submit multiple entries, use online form for teachers or download a class entry form

Rules:

  • Individuals can send more than one poem (maximum 4 to 6 poems can be sent)
  • Poems can be of any length and on any theme
  • Each poem must be the original work of the author and must not have been previously published
  • Poems must be in English
  • Kindly make sure applicants have to keep a record of all poems entered and send copies only
  • The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into concerning this decision
  • No acknowledgment of receipt can be made for postal entries unless a stamped, self-addressed envelope is included with the entry
