Three National Science Academies offers Focus Area Science Technology Summer Fellowship for the academic year 2017. It is a two-months fellowship programme in which students and the teachers both can apply who are related with science academies.
The students who are studying in graduation, post graduation or B.Tech, M.Tech are eligible to apply. Students who are engaged in PhD are not eligible to apply. Interested students can apply online before 15th of December 2016.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility Applicants should be studying in one of the following:
- BS, BSc, BVSc, BPharm (2nd and 3rd years students)
- BE, BTech, BCA (2nd and 3rd years students)
- MS, MSc, MVSc, MPharm (1st year only)
- ME, MTech, MCA (1st year only)
- (5-year integrated) MS, MSc, MTech, MBBS (2nd, 3rd and 4th years students)
- PharmD (3rd and 4th years students)
- (Dual degree) BTech + MTech (2nd, 3rd and 4th years students)
- (Dual degree) BE + MSc (2nd, 3rd and 4th years students)
- (Dual degree) BS + MS (2nd, 3rd and 4th years students)
- Integrated PhD (1st and 2nd years students)
- The minimum percentage of average marks in core subjects only (excluding languages) from class 10 to post graduation should not be less than 65%
- Students doing PhD are not eligible to apply.
How can you apply? The application can be done online with following steps:
Step 1: Go to the website.
Step 2: Click on Focus Area Science Technology Summer Fellowship 2017
Step 3: Scroll down to click on Click here to register.
Step 4: Now, select your "Category" and "Area of Interest".
Step 5: Now click "Next".
Step 6: You will land up to this page.
Step 7: Now select your "Sub-area".
Step 8: Now click "Next".
Step 9: You will land up to the "Registration page".
Step 10: Fill the form and click on "Submit".
Terms and Conditions
Applicants have to write a SOP or write-up in about 150-250 words, in which area he/she want to do fellowship. Don't use special character while filling the form. Applicants have to upload the scanned documents in JPEG format only (Starting from class 10 certificates). The size of each marks sheet should not exceed 700KB. Students have to upload the contact details of the teacher or HoD.
Teacher applicants have to upload their publications (if any). After selection, an authorization letter from the Principal/HoD that necessary permission/leave of absence will be granted should be sent by post to the Coordinator, FAST-SF 2017, Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru 560 080.
