The Foundation for India Contemporary Art invites applications for FICA Public Art Grant 2017. It aims to support art projects located in the public realm in India. Through the grant, FICA aims to generate interest in public art projects and initiate an open debate among artists, local communities and the larger public to engage with shared environments in new ways. This scheme gives the grant for only one year.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility - Individuals or groups may apply
- The age should be 18 years or older
- Should be interested in public art
- The applicant/s should be an Indian citizen/s, currently residing in India
How can you apply? The application can be done by post only. The procedure to fill the form is as follows:
Step 1: Download the form.
Step 2: Completely fill the form.
Step 3: Type a project proposal in about 1000-1500 words
Step 4: Add a detailed budget of the project.
Step 5: The timeline of project development.
Step 6: A current resume, including a list of projects/works done with images and descriptions.
Step 7: A maximum of 20 images or up to 10 minutes video of the current works labelled with the artist’s name, the title of work, date, dimensions and medium. The video file(s) should be compatible for playback on Windows Media Player/Quick Time Player/ Real Player.
Step 8: All materials should be submitted as files on CD/DVD.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Short-listed applicants may be asked to submit further details of the project
- The project should be feasible and should meet the dates
- The decision made by FICA is final and binding
Note: Selected applicant will receive a maximum grant of INR 3 lakhs for one year i.e from 01 January to 31 December 2018.
