Fellowship Scheme for M.Phil and PhD Students (SEBC), Gujarat 2018 invites applications from students belonging to SEBC category and studying at post-graduation or PhD level. The key objective of the scholarship is to ensure economic welfare and empowerment of students belonging to backward classes of the society.

Who is offering this scholarship ?

The scholarship is being offered by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Gujarat. 

Who can apply for this scholarship ?

An applicant must -

  • Be a student belonging to SEBC category. 
  • Be pursuing a PhD or M.Phil course.
  • Have annual family income less than INR 45,760 from all sources.

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps -

Step 3: Click on "Click for New Registration" button. 
Step 4: Fill in all required details and register. 
Step 5: Once registered, log in using registered email id and password. 
Step 6: Fill in the scholarship application form and upload required documents. 
Step 7: Finally submit the application form. 

What are the benefits ?

The applicants will receive the following benefit:

  • M.Phil students will be awarded INR 25000
  • PhD students will be awarded INR 30,000

What are the documents required for the Fellowship Scheme for M.Phil and PhD Students (SEBC), Gujarat 2018 ?

  • Self-attested caste certificate issued by the competent authorities
  • Self-attested copy of the Aadhaar Card
  • The first page of bank passbook/cancelled cheque
  • Fee receipt of current academic course
  • Self-attested certificate of previous academic mark sheet
  • Break affidavit (If break gap is more than one year)
  • Hostel certificate (only for hosteller student)
  • Income certificate issued by a competent authority (Form no.16 required for Govt. Employee)
  • School leaving certificate
  • School/College current year bonafide certificate
  • Printing bill/thesis typing (for M.Phil, PhD Litt, D.Pharm, D.Sc students)
