About The Program
CBSE announced Avishkar Quiz 2016 for the children studying in CBSE schools. The group is divided into three parts.
- Primary: class 1 to 5
- Upper Primary: 6 to 8
- Secondary: 9 to 12
The schools may conduct the quiz on any day during 9th to 16th August 2016. The quiz will majorly focus on this month's theme ‘Motion’ along with questions related to General Science, Mathematics and Technology.
It is mandatory for schools to conduct this in- house quiz competition and only the selected best two students from each category (primary, upper-primary and secondary) will be eligible for participation in the second stage.
The schools have to register themselves and the names of the winners in each category, number of participants, two photographs of the event and a report in 200 words must be uploaded by the schools on www.cbseacademic.in website under the ‘Avishkar Quiz’ tab on 17th & 18th August 2016 to be eligible for participation in the second stage.

Bonafide student of a school affiliated to CBSE, studying in standard I to standard XII can participate in the competition in the respective categories through their schools. Individual entries will not be accepted.

The specifications of the photograph for uploading are as follows:
- Image Format – JPEG, Size of Image –Maximum 200 KB
Utmost care should be taken while filling up the registration form and submission of report of first stage. In case, the email id registered is found to be invalid, no user id and password will be issued.
Report submitted by any other mode like email, post etc. shall not be considered for registration.
This is only the first level of the competition and the Board will give no prizes to winners of the first stage.
Registration Number: Please note the ‘Registration Number’ is generated after submission of registration form and report. In case your registration form is not submitted properly the ‘Registration Number’ will not be generated so kindly resubmit until this number is generated. Please save this registration number and the registered email-id as it will be essentially required for downloading of login-id and password of the second round.
Guidelines for Online Quiz conducted by the Board:
1. All the schools which have registered for Avishkar quiz series in the first stage by uploading their reports on the link given on www.cbseacademic.in on 17th & 18th August 2016 are eligible for participation in the Online Quiz competition and shall follow the guidelines given below:
- The Online Quiz Competition will be held on 22nd August 2016.
- User id and password can be downloaded from the link, which will be available under the tab “Avishkar quiz” on www.cbseacademic.in from 19th to 21st August 2016.
- Schools will provide the user id and password to the students only on the day of the online quiz.
- Best entries shall be selected on the basis of maximum scores obtained and minimum time taken for completion of the Quiz.
Please note that, those who have not received the registration number shall not be able to get user id and password. The registration number and the registered email id must be recorded for future reference.
