About The Program

BCCL/CCL ke Lal and Laadli Scholarship, Jharkhand 2017 objective is to provide a good chance to the students to get free school education, coaching from experts with free lodging and boarding as a scholarship who are going to appear in class 10th board exam in 2017 either from CBSE/Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC)/ICSE boards to prepare to appear in entrance exam for engineering colleges like IITs, NITs and other prestigious colleges of the country. Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) under its CSR Programme has been helping to meritorious male students every year since 2012-13 under the scheme 'CCL Ke Lal', and to meritorious female students since the year 2016-17 under the scheme 'CCL Ki Laadli', for grooming them for the competitive entrance examination of engineering.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • Students should be a ward of PAP (Project Affected Persons)/villagers of the CCL command areas/CCL wage board employee.
  • The students should be appearing in class 10th board exam in 2017 either from CBSE/Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC)/ICSE Boards.
  • The Gross Annual income of the parents/guardians of the students should not be more than Rs 600000. The students shall be required to submit the income certificate at the time of admission.
  • The students should be free from any chronic disease and have to furnish a Medical fitness certificate issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of admission.

For Ranchi Centre (Group-II) and VC Centres:

  • The students should be appearing in class 10th board exam in 2017 either from CBSE/Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC)/ICSE Boards.
  • The students should be the resident of Jharkhand or ward of CCL/BCCL Employee.

The application can be done in person with the following steps:
Step 1: Download the application form.
Step 2: Complete the admission form.
Step 3: Attach the relevant documents for verification by PO/SO (P).
Step 4: Submit the application through guardian/representative.

Dates:

  • Tentative date of exam 2nd Week of April 2017.
  • Tentative date of announcement of result first merit list by 31st May 2017.
  • Commencement of classes a 1st/2nd week of June 2017.

Syllabus:
The syllabus for the screening test will comprise of:
General Aptitude.

  • Physics: Motion, Force, Work, Energy and Power, Gravitation, Electric current, Magnetic effects of electric current, Reflection & Refraction of light, Human Eye and its defects, Optical Instruments.
  • Chemistry: Mole concept, Structure of Atoms, States of Matter, Chemical reactions, Sources of energy, Carbon compounds, Periodic classification of elements, Acids, bases and salts, Metals and Non-metals.
  • Mathematics: Basic Mathematics, Real Numbers, Polynomials, Pair of Linear Equation in Two Variables, Triangles, Trigonometry &Trigonometric Identities, Statistics, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Progressions, Circles, Heights and Distances, Probability, Lines, Surface Areas and Volumes.

Selection methodology:
A screening test (Multiple Choice Questions based) will be conducted in the second week of April 2017:

  • The answer sheet will be OMR based.
  • The test duration will be of 3 hours.
  • A provisional merit list will be published based on the performance in the Screening Test.
  • The final merit list will be published only for those students who have secured at least 9 CGPA (for CBSE) or at least 85% aggregate (for ICSE & JAC Board) in Class 10th board examinations. If he/she fails in the above condition his/her selection will be cancelled and the merit list will be re-drawn accordingly.

  • DAV Public School, Dhori, Phusro (at Central Colony, near Chapri Rest House, CCL).

  • DAV Public School, NTS Barkakana, Ramgarh

(Test Centres may change depending upon the number of applicants. Additional test centres will be provided for students applying from BCCL).
