About The Program

The Aspen Institute invites nominations for New Voices Fellowship 2018 from development experts across Africa, Asia and Latin America. It is a year long non-residential program of media support, research, training as well as writing under the guidance of experienced trainers and mentors. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for the Fellowship, a candidate must -

  • Be a professional with backgrounds in global health, food security, development economics and health & human rights. 
  • Be a citizen of a developing country and ideally work and live in the Global South. 

 

How can you apply?

To apply for the Fellowship, an applicant can follow the given steps:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Fellowship. 
Step 2: Click on 'Submit a Nomination'.
Step 3: Fill in the nomination form with correct information. 
Step 4: Finally, submit the nomination form. 

Note: The nominations are to be made by the mentor, supervisor or professor of the candidates.

Terms and Conditions
  • The Fellowship covers all expenses related to the Fellowship including certain media-related travel costs. 
  • While the Fellowship is non-residential and not full-time, it does require a significant and sustained time commitment as fellows need to write opinion articles, participate in interviews with local and international media, and speak at international conferences. 
  • The Fellowship is not applicable for journalists or others who are trained and working in communications.
