Categories

Acrylic: paintings executed in watermedia, with acrylic being the dominant (80 percent at least) on any surface; additions of other media are permissible.
Graphite, charcoal, ink & scratchboard: works that are executed primarily with drawing materials, including pen and ink, although additions of pastel, watercolour or other media are permissible.
Mixed media and collage: any materials on any surface.
Oil and oil pastel: paintings done in oil-based media on canvas, board, paper or wood.
Pastel: paintings that are at least 80 percent (soft) pastel on paper or any other surface. NuPastels or other hard pastels are considered soft pastels. (Paintings executed primarily in oil pastels should be entered in the oil and oil pastel category.)
Coloured Pencil: works executed primarily (at least 80 percent) in coloured pencil; underlying layers and additions in other media are permissible.
Watercolour & Gouache: paintings executed primarily (at least 80 percent) in watercolour; additions of gouache, acrylic or other media are permissible.
Digital: works include archival 2D prints or digitally-assisted work.

Grand Prize-

• The amount of grand prize is USD 1000. 
• Winning work will be published in the September 2018 issue of The Artist’s Magazine and will be featured on The Artist’s Magazine's website.

First Place-

• The first place in each category will get a cash of USD 100.

Honourable mentions-
