In order to be eligible for the 2015 Adobe Research Women-in-Technology Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
1. Be a female student currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at a university for the 2015-2016 academic year.
2. Intend to be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at a university for the 2016-2017 academic year.
3. Be majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field.
4. Not have a close relative working for Adobe Research.
- Is there any limit to the number of applications that can come from a single university or department?
None.
- Is the student obligated to accept the Adobe internship next summer?
No.
- Is the $10,000 given to the student or to the university?
The student.
- Will you send emails to letter providers, immediately after I submit the application?
Yes.
- When is the deadline for letters of recommendation?
To be completed your application must include all of your letters by January 8, 2016. It is up to you to followup with your letter writers to confirm that they have submitted them in time.
- Will I be able to update my scholarship application once I submit it through the portal?
As of now, no.
- Do transcripts need to be official transcripts sign by the registrar?
Transcripts that are directly available are fine.
- What instructions will you send my letter writers?
In your recommendation letter, please answer the following questions.
How long have you known the applicant and how did you meet?
Can you rank the applicant as belonging to the top 5, 10, or 20% of computer science undergraduates?
Please assess the applicants:
- intellectual and analytic strength,
- technical skills,
- ability to think creatively,
- ambition and initiative,
- stamina and independence,
- and ability to work as part of a team.
9. Can masters students apply?
No. The scholarship is intended for undergraduate students.
