About The Program

Applications are invited for 46th Universal Postal Union (UPU) Letter Writing Competition 2017. Young candidate of up to 15 years of age can apply. At first, essay competition will be conducted among the nation and selected essay will compete for international level. The theme for this year essay is "Imagine you are an advisor to the new UN Secretary-General; which world issue would you help him tackle first and how would you advise him to solve it?" The essay must be in given topic and should not exceed 1000 words. The national level winner will receive Rs. 5,000 and a certificate and the international level entries will receive Gold medal, certificate and album of UPU official postage stamps. The essay can be in written in English or any of the 8 languages listed in Constitution of India.

  • People up to the age of 15 years can apply.
  • The country will select their winners first and submits the entries for the international round held by UPU.
