ProBono India in association with Skillfull India invites applications from students of LLB, LLM and PhD studying at a reputed law school/college/university in India. The theme of this year's competition is 'Legal Aid and Awareness in India: Issues and Challenges'.
2nd Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam National Legal Essay Competition 2017
DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the competition, an applicant must -
- Be pursuing LLB, LLM or PhD program from a recognised law school/college/university in India.
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can submit their entries online through following steps -
Step 1: Write the essay in a word file as per prescribed rules.
Step 2: Email it to probono.in@gmail.com.

Terms and Conditions
- The best three essays will be awarded cash prizes, certificates and mementos.
- The first prize winner will receive INR 5000, the second prize winner will receive INR 3000 and the third prize winner will receive INR 2000 cash prize.
- All other participants will receive an e-certificate of participation for submitting their essays.
- In case of ties, the final evaluation of experts will be considered.
- The essay should centre around the theme, written in English in about 5000 -7000 words with Times New Roman font, font size 12 and spacing of 1.5. (It includes both footnotes and references).
- The title page of the essay should contain every detail about the participant including name, email id, affiliation and mobile number.
- Applicants also need to send a scanned copy of valid ID card with the essay.
