What is 18th Kanagawa Biennial World Childrens Art Exhibition?

The Kanagawa Biennial World Children’s Art Exhibition has been held every two years since 1981.

Held in Kanagawa Prefecture to the south of Tokyo, this event exhibits children’s art from all over the world, and is intended to use the power of painting to foster the dreams and creativity of today’s young children who will go on to become the leaders of tomorrow.

 We appreciate for many entries to the previous 17th Art Exhibition. Looking to build on this success, the 18th Exhibition will be held from the end of June to August 2015.

The application guidebook for the 18th Exhibition will be published about the end of May 2014, and the application will be accepted from 1 July to 31 October 2014.

We look forward to you entry to the 18th Exhibition.


Tentative Schedule for the 18th Art Exhibition in 2015.

1 .The application guideline will be posted on this website in the end of May 2014

2 .Entries: 1 July 2014 to 31 October 2014

3 .Detailed ( Theme, Size etc): Almost same of the 17th Exhibition

4 .Judgment: Pre judgment: January 2015, Judgment: February 2015

5 .Results: March 2015

6 .Award Ceremony: end of June 2015

7 .Exhibition in Japan, Kanagawa : end of June 2015 to August 2015

8. Travelling Exhibitions in Japan, Kanagawa: September 2015 to March 2016 


Who can apply for this scholarship ?

Children aged between 4 to 15 years old ( as of april,2014)  .
