Though Tripura is a geographically disadvantageous state in the country, but it is way ahead from other territories in terms of education and literacy. This third smallest state of India has the highest literacy rate of 94.65%.
The Tripura government has always expressed concern over education and has launched several scholarship programmmes to promote education in the state.
Here, we have prepared a list of scholarships for the students of Tripura. Students of this Northeastern state can check these scholarships and apply immediately to avail the opportunity and pursue their dream education.
The Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Tripura has introduced this scholarship for students of Professional / Technical /Management / M.Phil. / PhD courses. The selected students will get a stipend up to INR 30000 per annum. The objective of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the students of Tripura to pursue higher education.
Announced by the Government of Tripura, this scholarship is for general category students with annual family income of not more than INR 1 Lac and for them who are studying in Class11 to post graduation. The scholarship amount varies up to INR 30000 per annum. The objective of this scholarship is to enable economically backward students to complete their studies.
This scholarship is given by the Government of Tripura to scheduled caste students who are studying in Class 11 to post graduation having annual parental income not greater than INR 2.5 lakh per annum. The objective of this scholarship is to provide financial aids to these students.
Announced by the Government of Tripura, this scholarship is for the students belonging to Other Backward Class who are studying in Class 11 to post graduation. The annual family income of these students must not be greater than INR 100000 lakh per annum. The selected candidates will get maintenance and other allowances as scholarship.
This scholarship is introduced by Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India for the students belonging to Tripura state and scheduled tribe. The students must be studying in Class 9 or 10 and annual family income must not be greater than INR 200000 lakh per annum. The selected candidate will get scholarship and other allowances for ten months.
This scholarship is given by National School of Drama Scholarship Tripura to the graduate students having experience in theatre or formal/non-formal university in India or abroad. The candidates must be aged between 18 to 40 years. The scholarship amount will be INR 4500 per month. The objective is to encourage the students to pursue their dream in theatre drama.
