Buddy4study mentoring program, is a Buddy4Study India Foundation initiative to help students from Class 11th and 12th, belonging to economic weaker section, gain important life skills for their career and growth.
How It Works
Sign up for mentoring and let us know your preferences
Sign up for mentoring program and save your course and language preferences. All the meetings and trainings are done online on zoom or over the safe phone line. At no point, your contact information is shared with mentor.
Provide time slot preferences
Buddy4study team will reach out to you to understand your time slot preferences and match it with mentor time preferences
Get a mentor assigned
Based on your preferences, you will be assigned a mentor. Your mentor will be an experienced and well-trained employee of a corporate. His experience of the corporate world will help you get ready for your career progression
Get introducted to mentor
Buddy4study will organize an ice-breaking session with your mentor. In this session, the mentor will introduce himself and you will get a chance to introduce yourself. Buddy4study will introduce the program and journey you will take together with your mentor.
Attend mentoring and give feedback
You will be sent a weekly notification for your mentoring session. During the session, the mentor will help you with a life skill that will be helpful in your career progress. After each session, you will be asked for feedback on the session.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be assigned course of my preference? What if I want to change my course preference later?
Yes, we will assign a course that you have added in your preferences. You can change preference until you are assigned a mentor. Once a mentor is assigned your course will also be fixed as per the expertise of the mentor.
What is the medium of instruction for mentoring sessions?
The English and Hindi languages are among the primary mediums of instruction for our mentors. However, we have regional language-wise experts also who can change their instruction language based on student preferences.
How can I get mentor of my choice?
The selection of the mentor is done on the basis of an interest-mapping exercise where your academic background, language and course preference are matched with hundreds of experts who have an interest in guiding similar students. We narrow down the list of experts by finding the expert who is closest to most of your mentoring preferences.
How do I get to know about my mentor online?
Once the mentor-mentee mapping is done, you will be assigned a particular mentor. We will share an online profile of the mentor with you so that you understand more about your mentor. Further, we will hold an introductory session once the mentor is assigned to you. You will have an opportunity to converse during that introductory session. You will also be able to ask questions to understand them better and also let your mentor understand your unique qualities.
Where do I share any problem that I might face during my mentoring sessions?
We have a feedback mechanism after every session where you can share any feedback regarding your training sessions. We have a quick redressal system to resolve your queries. Further, you can always drop your queries at mentoring@buddy4study.com
Do I need an internet connection to attend mentoring session?
Yes, it is suggested to have stable internet connection to attend online mentoring session. During the session, mentor will walk you through frameworks and surveys, which cannot be done over phone.
