e-Medhabruti Scholarship Scheme
Started by the Government of Odisha, e-Medhabruti Scholarship Scheme is for meritorious students of class 11 to post-graduation who want to pursue higher education. To be eligible, the aspiring candidates need to be the resident of Odisha and their annual family income must not exceed INR 6 Lacs. Also, the candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in the last exam. Under this scheme, the selected students will receive up to INR 10,000 as scholarship.
Post Matric Scholarship to OBC Students, Maharashtra
To encourage students of Maharashtra to undergo post-matric courses, the government has initiated this scholarship. In order to apply, the applicant needs to make sure that he/she belongs to OBC category and the annual family income is less than INR 1 Lac.
As the scholarship amount, the selected students will receive a maintenance allowance of up to INR 425 and their compulsory fee will also be reimbursed.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS (Minorities)
Offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, this scholarship is for students belonging to the minority communities (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Zoroastrian/Parsi). As for eligibility, the applicant must be studying any professional or technical course at the graduate or postgraduate level in a recognised institution. The annual family income must not be more than INR 2.5 Lacs from all sources.
Under this scheme, students will get maintenance allowance of up to INR 1000 and course fee of INR 20,000 per annum or the actual fee, whichever will be less.
Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
Announced by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, this scholarship is started with the aim to provide financial assistance to economically weak students of minority communities (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Jain and Zoroastrian/Parsi). To be eligible, the student must be studying in class 11 to Ph.D. and must have secured a minimum 50% score in the previous exam. Also, the annual family income of the candidate must not exceed INR 2 Lacs.
The selected students will receive up to INR 10,000 per annum and other awards as the scholarship.
Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship Scheme for Minorities Girls
Launched with the aim to support the education of girl students through financial aid, this government scholarship is for girls belonging to minority communities (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist and Zoroastrian/Parsi). The aspiring candidates must be class 10 passed students who have secured the admission or are in anticipation of admission in class-XI/1st-year Dip. Engineering/1st-year ITI. Also, the annual family income must not be more than INR 1 Lac. Under this scheme, students will get tuition fee assistance and other allowances.
Post matric (Other than Intermediate) Scholarship for ST, SC, General Category, Uttar Pradesh
Offered by Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, this post matric scholarship is for students of SC, ST and General category who have the domicile of Uttar Pradesh. To be eligible, the student must be pursuing graduation, postgraduation, Ph.D. or other higher-level studies and their annual family income must not exceed INR 2 Lacs. The students will receive variable awards on being selected for the scholarship.
Scholarship to the Disabled Students, Gujarat
This initiative by the Government of Gujarat is offering financial support to differently abled students belonging to the economically weaker section of the society. To be eligible, the students’ disability percentage must be above 40% and their annual family income must not be more than INR 50,000. Under this scheme, the students will get up to INR 5,000 per annum as the scholarship amount.
Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana, Gujarat
This government scholarship is for those meritorious students of Gujarat who are pursuing diploma or degree courses. The annual family income of these students must not exceed INR 6 Lacs. Under this scheme, the selected students will be eligible to receive up to INR 2 Lac and other benefits as scholarship.
Nagaland State Merit Scholarship
Started by the Government of Nagaland, this post matric scholarship has been providing financial assistance to the meritorious students of Nagaland who wish to pursue higher studies. The scholarship provides variable monetary help to all the eligible students.
NBHM Scholarship for Post Graduate Studies in Mathematics
Initiated by the National Board for Higher Mathematics, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, provides this government scholarship to the graduate or postgraduate students for studying courses that will lead to a master’s degree in Mathematics. And, students receive INR 6,000 per month as the scholarship under this scheme.
